What the law requires this unit to contain
On a construction site in Great Britain the welfare facilities are not a preference, they are Schedule 2 of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, and the duty falls on the client, the principal contractor and each contractor at once. It is written in terms of function rather than size, which is why two units of the same length can sit on opposite sides of it.

A welfare unit is bought by the people who have to satisfy a duty rather than by somebody choosing a product. On a construction site in Great Britain that duty is Schedule 2 of the CDM Regulations, and it is written in terms of function rather than size, which is why two units of the same length can sit on opposite sides of it.
So the specification starts from the number who sit down at break and the shift pattern, and the chassis and the panel are settled before the fit out is. A unit handed to a different crew every fortnight is judged on what survives that, which is decided at the frame rather than at the worktop.
